CEO & Co-founder
Roxanna holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering (UBC) and has spent a decade developing innovative technologies for the chemical industry including chlorine production. She has co-written and secured $20M+ in grants and venture funding, holds multiple patents, and has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications. Roxanna has built multiple startups, growing teams from 0 to 20+ employees. She is an enthusiastic environmentalist that believes we can develop technologies that are both profitable and supportive of our planet's health.
Greg DiCosola, PE
COO & Co-founder
Greg has spent over twenty years scaling technologies from pilot to commercial stage across the chemical industry, including SAF, RNG, and specialty chemicals. As a C-suite executive at multiple ventures, he has raised $415M+ in venture and government funding and holds multiple patents. Greg has led first-of-a-kind project development across the full lifecycle, from FEED through operations, managing a capital project portfolio of $800M+. He is known for bridging the gap between technical innovation and investable commercial outcomes.
Matin Hanifzadeh, PhD
CTO & Co-founder
Matin Hanifzadeh holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and has twenty years experience advancing carbon capture technologies. He has authored more than ten publications, patents, and a book chapter. After leading the technical development at multiple startups, Matin founded Rushnu in 2023, drawing on his deep understanding of these systems to imagine a technology that could be both practical and financially viable. His vision was to create a scalable, cost-effective solution for converting waste into valuable chemicals.

Rakesh Radhakrishnan, PhD
Executive Advisor
Rakesh has spent over 25 years working in the energy industry, including as the Technology to Market Advisor at ARPA-e, DOE, and at Raytheon (RTX Technologies Research Center). He currently serves as a senior advisor at Prithvi Ventures and as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland.
Carmo Pereira, PhD
Wastewaster Advisor
Carmo is a senior chemical engineering consultant including at Veolia. He has extensive experience in catalysis, reaction engineering, and process development. Carmo’s career includes senior technical roles at DuPont, W. R. Grace, and Mobil, and he is recognized as an AIChE Fellow and former DuPont Fellow.
Steve Musial
Steel Advisor
Steve is an expert in equipment design, nonferrous-metal recycling, and advanced manufacturing. His work has included leading strategic programs at the intersection of R&D, materials science, and commercialization. He also serves as an advisor for large companies like Steel Dynamics Inc (SDI)
